Congresswoman Boebert Introduces the Restoring American Energy Dominance Act
Despite uncertainty over the election of a new Speaker of the House, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and her staff are still hard at work pushing for policies that will benefit 3rd District families and businesses. Yesterday, Rep. Boebert introduced HR6009, the Restoring American Energy Dominance Act, which repeals another BLM rule that would cripple the oil and gas industry with more costs and bureaucracy. You can see the entire press release on the bill in the forwarded email below.
The Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process rule would add fees to smaller oil producing companies that would ultimately harm their ability to produce energy and send higher costs back to consumers, which is the last thing the American people need. Rep. Boebert’s RAED Act would put a stop to this effort and it would defend our critical oil & gas producers from more regulations written by bureaucrats in the Biden Administration. The rule would also codify more harmful provisions from the Inflation Reduction Act, which is another reason why Congresswoman Boebert voted against the IRA last year.
The RAED Act is scheduled to receive a subcommittee hearing tomorrow.
Key takeaways:
-Despite Congress seeming chaotic without a Speaker of the House, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and her staff are still hard at work pushing policies and legislation that will positively impact 3rd District families and important economic engines like the oil & gas industry.
-Congresswoman Boebert’s RAED Act aims to repeal another harmful BLM rule that would place additional burdensome fees and regulations on oil & gas producers that harm their ability to produce energy and drives up costs for the American people.
-This is another great example of Congresswoman Boebert working on an issue that impacts local businesses and families and providing a legislative fix to alleviate the harm done by the federal government.
